ポールが作詞作曲しリードボーカルもポールが担当。

ビートルズで最も有名な曲ともいえる名曲であり、イントロのピアノの力強いようで物悲しい音色は、何度聞いても震えるように心に突き刺さり、この曲を強烈に印象付ける。

”Let it be”の訳はさまざまであるが「あるがままに」という訳が一般的である。
